Tell us about the RubyYaya brand and the meaning behind the name.

RubyYaya began as an Australian resort wear brand in 2013, mainly concentrating on cotton garments. RubyYaya has since evolved into a fusion of embroideries, print, colour and eclectic spirit. RubyYaya means fun.

What is the inspiration for your designs?

I draw inspiration from the multitude of countries and people I have met during my journey. Each season I am drawn to different influences that possess something a little eclectic. For me, distance and difference are the secret tonic of my creativity.

Tell us about the person who loves RubyYaya. What are a few words that describe their style and vibe?

The RubyYaya customer is provocative and cool yet thoughtful. She loves to travel and is not afraid to be different. She always appears effortlessly chic.

Tell us about you. What was your inspiration to start RubyYaya?

There are so many mainstream, homogenous brands all competing for the same marketplace. We wanted to offer something more vibrant but easy to care for with a casual, rumpled elegance that targets an attitude, not an age.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date?

Keeping my sanity after having five children!

What are some jewelry staples you can't live without?

My engagement ring, eternity ring and platinum bangle.

So, what's coming up next for RubyYaya that you are most excited about?

Launching our Spring/Summer 2019 collection in July. Our motto for the season was "create, inspire, disrupt" and I think the direction of the range will bring new followers to the RubyYaya brand and inspire our followers to step outside their comfort zone.
