Below you will find a list of the most common questions we get asked.  If you have a question that is not covered below, feel free to contact us.

Ordering and Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express) as well as Paypal and Bitcoin for your shopping convenience.

All orders must be paid in full prior to shipment.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Sales tax will be automatically added during checkout for residents of Connecticut.

As of July 1, 2011, the current CT Sales Tax rate is 6.35%.

How Do I Place An Order?

The fastest and easiest way to place an order is to order online at criscara.com using our completely secure and simple checkout process.  Simply add all of the jewelry you wish to purchase to your cart by clicking the Add to Cart button on each product page. When you have added everything you want to your cart, click on Cart at the top of your screen.

Enter your shipping information, or log in if you already have an account, and complete your order. 

Where do I apply a discount code?

If you received a special promotional code, you can apply it during the checkout process when you get to Step 2.

When you are finished adding jewelry to your cart, click on Checkout.

You will see the Order Summary on the right side of your screen.  Enter the discount code there.

Can I stack discount codes?

You can only use one discount code per order.



Shipping and Packaging

All orders ship within 2 business days, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and postal holidays.  Jewelry will arrive in a beautiful criscara jewelry gift box or satin bag - perfect to store your jewelry in when you aren’t wearing it, or to give as a gift.
 

Domestic Shipping

All domestic packages are shipped via USPS First Class mail with delivery confirmation.  Our Domestic Shipping rate is $5.00.  Domestic orders over $100 ship for FREE.

You will be notified when your order ships and provided with a tracking number.  

Expedited shipping options are available.

International Shipping

All international packages are shipped via USPS with your choice of First Class or Priority Mail.  

You will be notified when your order ships.  Most packages arrive 1-3 weeks after shipping, but delivery times vary by country.

We are unable to track an order shipped via First Class International mail once it leaves the US and there is no delivery confirmation or insurance available.  Please choose Priority mail if tracking is important to you.  Criscara is not responsible for any jewelry that is lost or damaged during shipping.

 

Sizing

How do I know my size for each type of jewelry?

Most of our jewelry is adjustable and one size fits all.  Each product description also includes sizing details to help you choose a piece that will be a perfect fit.

What if my size is sold out or not an available option?

Please contact us if your size is sold out or unavailable.

It may be coming soon, or we may be able to suggest an alternative piece of jewelry that would be perfect for your unique needs.

What if it doesn't fit?

Give any piece of jewelry a try risk-free!  If it isn’t a perfect fit, simply return your jewelry to us within 14 days for a full refund, including free return shipping. 


Refunds and Exchanges

We want you to absolutely love your new jewelry!  

If this isn't the case, we will refund or exchange your jewelry within 14 days of receipt, provided that the jewelry is still in the condition it was received in, unworn, and in its original packaging.

You have 2 choices:

  1. Exchange for another item or size
  2. Full refund of purchase price, less shipping charges

*Please note: Refunds and exchanges are only available for jewelry purchased through our website, criscara.com.  If you purchased our jewelry from one of our retailers, please take it back to the store you purchased it from.  Refunds and exchanges will be subject to that store's policies. 

How do I  request a return or exchange?
  1. Simply reply to the order confirmation email you received or email us directly and include your order number and the item(s) you would like to return or exchange
  2. You will receive an email response within 24 hours that includes a pre-paid return shipping label and further instructions for processing your return  

How long does it take to process my return or exchange?

Refunds: Refunds and exchanges are made within one week of receipt of goods to allow for inspection. It may take one full billing cycle to see the credit appear on your credit card statement.   

Exchanges: Replacement goods will be dispatched within 2 working days of inspection.

You will be notified as soon as your return, exchange, or store credit is processed.


Care and Use

How do I care for my jewelry?

To ensure your Criscara jewelry lasts for years, follow these quick tips to keep your jewelry safe and looking its very best.

Extended exposure to the air can oxidize any jewelry, so we recommend storing your jewelry in the jewelry pouch or box it is shipped in.

While we encourage you to wear your jewelry to the beach and the pool, we do not recommend that you wear your jewelry in the water since it can easily get lost or damaged. The salt in sea water, and the chlorine in pool water can be very harsh on jewelry and can both cause tarnish and in some cases permanently damage the metals, gemstones, glass and pearls in your jewelry pieces. Wearing your jewelry in the ocean or pool will shorten the wearable life of your jewelry. If you do wear your jewelry in the water, ensure you fully rinse off any salt water or chlorine and allow to fully dry before storing.

Avoid wearing your jewelry while bathing and showering, and remove before washing dishes and hands, or using household cleaners. It is also best to avoid applying lotions and perfumes directly to your skin while you are wearing your jewelry.

How do I clean my jewelry?

To remove dirt and oils from jewelry, simply wipe and buff with a soft cotton cloth. This will do the trick 90% of the time.

If the jewelry needs further cleaning, create a warm soapy water bath by mixing 2 cups water water with liquid soap. We recommend using chemical and dye free soap.

For all metal jewelry: You can submerge the jewelry in the soapy water bath and agitate it with your hands or using a soft silicone brush. Do not use anything that could scratch the jewelry. Rinse clean, then wipe the jewelry with a soft cotton cloth. Allow to fully dry before storing.

For antiqued jewelry: Minimize the amount of time the jewelry is submerged in the soapy water bath.  While it is a very effective way to clean your jewelry, it can also remove the beautiful antiquing that is a part of its character the longer it is submerged. 

For jewelry with stones: You can dip a cotton cloth in the soapy water bath and use it to wipe the jewelry clean. To remove the soapy water, dip another cloth in water and wipe the jewelry, then allow to dry completely. Do not submerge your jewelry in the cleaning solution.

✧✧✧ Do not use jewelry cleaners on plated jewelry, as this can permanently damage the plating.✧✧✧
