An Interview with Patricia Tombini, Khush Founder

Tell us about Khush.

Khush Clothing is meticulously designed and created with the utmost commitment of having a unique and superior product line. it is manufactured in Bali in order to have access to their beautiful textiles, amazing print and batik artists, and breathtaking inspiration. The clothing feels effortless and looks both chic, feminine, and comfortable at the same time.

What is the inspiration for your designs?

My love for fashion, travel, ocean and nature! I’m fortunate to live in paradise like Hawaii and Bali, where my lifestyle and mind are connected to it when designing… Adding to that, being from Brazil, I had the Brazilian flair and the art of Bali, truly influence the line.

Tell us about the person who loves Khush Clothing. What are a few words that describe their style and vibe?

I dream of providing comfort and beauty, and be able to sparkle free-spirited, passionate and feminine women.

Tell us about you. What was your inspiration to start Khush?

I’m a Brazilian born designer, Hawaii/Bali long time resident with a deep love and passion for the art of fashion, innovative creations, bohemian beach culture, and a vibrant palette of print and tie-dye colors and Brazilian-inspired flare.

Designing is like music to me…if I picture the style flowing beautifully, it’s like listening to a beautiful song, it brings me a smile.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date? 

I feel proud of having started Khush from scratch and slowly, but surely, seen the business succeed in a very competitive market. When I get amazing positive feedback describing how happy my customers are, is another huge accomplishment feeling.

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra you live by?

Find your passion and keep working with love and simplicity…that’s the true elegance in life.

What's your favorite type of jewelry to pair with your island inspired boho looks? 

My favorite is long boho inspired necklaces and bracelets.

So, what's coming up next for Khush Clothing that you are most excited about? 

Our new collection is about softness and flawless… I’m super excited for the new prints and tie dyes, colors look gorgeous and details have a nice boho touch in the styles.

The playing with colors when developing new fabrics fascinates me, and it’s all hand painted. I do get involved in all steps of batik, designing and printing, and deciding the final product is very exciting…it’s not only about trends, but about picturing our customer’s vibe, and what will bring them a smile!
