An Interview with Amber Farr, Flynn Skye Founder & Designer

Tell us about Flynn Skye. How did you come up with the name?

It's my daughter's name. She is my muse.

What is the inspiration for your designs?

Every woman. You would fall over if you saw what triggered inspiration. It can be the way a couple is holding hands to a clasp on a purse. I am always looking.

Tell us about the person who loves Flynn Skye. What are a few words that describe their style and vibe?

Easy, sexy and carefree. I want it to feel effortless yet make you feel beautiful.

Tell us about you. What was your inspiration to start Flynn Skye?

My inspiration was to feed my kids. I never thought this is what I would be doing. I am still pinching myself.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date? 

Every day that I am open and thriving is an accomplishment. This business is no joke.

Fun fact is I am super shy and also super out going. I am a walking oxymoron.

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra you live by?

Every day is a gift. if you wake up thinking that, a smile will happen.

Tell us about your personal style.

I am pretty low maintenance. I work in factories and a warehouse so call me Cali casual. Tee shirts and jeans with great shoes. If I want to feel more girlie I go to Flynn.

Always just trying to be better. Next fall is pretty exciting.
