Introducing our current Criscara Brand Ambassador crush, Leslie (@lsdlol). A quick peek at Leslie's Instagram reveals her gorgeous style and blogger-worth aesthetic, but there's more to this beauty than meets the eye. Her down-to-earth spirit and sweet nature (not to mention the way she styles her Criscara jewels) are just a few of the countless reasons why we love Leslie and are so happy to have her as part of our Ambassador family.
We sat down with Leslie to chat about her day-to-day life, her classic personal style and her go-to mantra for living a more balanced life. I hope you enjoy learning more about Leslie, and be sure to follow along on her adventures! XO, Crista

Hi!! I'm Leslie and I'm just a 21 year old girl currently living an hour outside of Nashville. I recently moved here from Oahu, Hawaii this July and even though I miss the island life on occasion I'm happy for the change of scenery. I was military brat growing up so I've traveled state to state essentially my whole life. While it's always been hard for me to keep in touch with people and hold friendships due to distance, I've grown to appreciate the beauty in meeting new people and finding love for other places. I look forward to the future and hope it holds an abundance of traveling and exploring!

Speaking on career terms, I'm actually just like a lot of other young women out there and am incredibly indecisive on what I want to pursue and run with professionally....(Surprise!!!). I know my purpose is out there and I'm just waiting to find it or for it to find me - whichever comes first.
In my free time I'm definitely a wild card and can be found doing either absolutely nothing or everything at once. On my lazy chill-at-home kinda days I like to curl up on the couch with my wiener dog and social media surf for my next moves or muses. I'm a HUGE foodie and have been for quite a while now. I love finding hidden gems in town to try out. I especially love giving my support to locally owned businesses and shops so try to stick with those the most!

My personal style is very simple! I've never been one to have crazy amounts of clothing or eccentric outfits. I support it wholeheartedly and live vicariously through women who do though! I can always be found in classic ripped jeans and a plain colored shirt or oversized sweater paired with a few jewels or rings for a pop. I have a love for basics and always retreat back to comfort. While my outfits are simple, I do have a lasting appreciation for make up. I love a bold face that makes a statement and for that reason always have my eyebrows done and lashes long.

Three things I can't live without... my wiener dog for his company, my morning coffee to get me through the day, and taking photos. Photos are so important to me. I much like anyone else love to live in the moment but also love to appreciate it after the moment dies down. Looking back at photographs and being able to tie it to that exact memory means the world to me. One day these memories won't be as vivid as now and I know I'll have an appreciation for being able to pass them down and share them with people as I get older. (...definitely not just because I enjoy taking and posting photos of my cute dog and coconut milk lattes...)

My favorite Criscara piece is my Dawn Layered Necklace!! It's such a beautiful piece and has the right amount of delicacy but still makes a statement. I also love my Criscara rings! I can't get enough of how classy they always manage to make me look in my simplest outfits. They always tie my look together and I never leave the house without them.

Not really a current obsession of mine but more of a current passion that I wish to be lasting, I'm vegan! Around September of last year I had a friend who decided to completely cut out all dairy and meat out of her diet. That inspired me to make the change, along with watching the Netflix documentaries everyone talks about. I knew that I personally wouldn't be able to completely make such a drastic switch like that overnight so decided to have fun with it and slowly found myself eliminating things little by little. Watching my body and mindset change over time was amazing for me and as of April this year I have been fully vegan. This goes hand in hand with me being a foodie, like I mentioned earlier. I have always loved searching for cool places to eat but now I obsess over finding local joints that incorporate plant based meals into their menu or going to vegan events! For anyone who has ever thought about making the leap or trying new things, I just want you to know that it is never a competition or race and any small step or contribution you make to being plant based is amazing and counts! I'm always available for tips and advice.

There are a lot of quotes and mantras I try to live by and follow but one of the main ones I tend to gravitate towards is "you're in control of your own peace". Ultimately you decide how to react and handle things in life. I try my best to have a positive outlook on everything I do and learned that not everything deserves a reaction. Sometimes when things knock you down you just have to remind yourself that that's life and keep it moving. Growing up I always had a very pessimistic/negative outlook on life but grew to realize that if you have the tools to surround yourself with positivity, love, and light, why wouldn't you want to give yourself that? I recently picked up journaling and whenever I catch myself slipping I log down my thoughts and it helps keep myself in check and my feelings balanced. I definitely recommend it to everyone who has a hard time staying positive and who lets their mind get the best of them sometimes!
