Meagan was inspired by her travels in Europe and Morocco, and celebrates the beauty of intricate print design for the free spirited and bohemian at heart in each of her designs.

An Interview with Meagan McDonald, La Luna Sleepwear Designer

Tell us about La Luna Sleepwear. What sets it apart from other sleepwear companies? 

La Luna Sleepwear launched its first collection in November 2016. A luxe range of sleepwear and loungewear, showcasing beautiful, unique prints and soft luxurious fabrics, with classic elegant designs.

What is the inspiration for your designs?

The first range features blue and white tones with details Moroccan tile inspired prints. After traveling around Europe and Morocco, I was inspired with endless ideas for the prints and designs.

Tell us about the person who loves La Luna. What are a few words that describe their style and vibe?

La Luna will always celebrate the beauty of intricate print design for the free spirited and bohemian at heart. 

La Luna Sleepwear is designed to be worn around the home, where you won’t feel embarrassed to answer the front door or have breakfast with your mother in law in your Pyjamas. La Luna is also the perfect accompaniment for weekend and holiday getaways.

Tell us about you. What was your inspiration to start La Luna?  

The label was launched by Meagan McDonald and her partner Angus, who both have a background in fashion and marketing. The concept was dreamed up over 4 years ago when Meagan noticed there really wasn’t much available for high quality pyjamas with elegant and classic prints, it seemed everything was either sexy or cute, with nothing in between. La Luna was a dream, eventually coming to fruition and launching in 2016.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date? 

We have just celebrated our first year of La Luna, and looking forward to many more to come.

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra you live by?

Don’t tell me the skies the limit, when there are footprints on the moon. 

What are some jewelry staples you can't live without? 

Day-to-day I’m always wearing rings on my fingers and a pretty necklace, then for special occasions I like to wear bigger earrings and statement pieces.

I absolutely love the star and moon jewels, as well as the gorgeous turquoise stones. It’s hard to pick, but if I had to choose just three, they would be:
