An Interview with Criscara Muse, Taylor Fuller.

Tell us a bit about you and how you got to where you are.

Hello! My name is Taylor and I’m 27. I’m originally from New York, but I’m currently calling London home! I have lived in five countries (UK, USA, France, Italy, and Thailand), and I am happiest when I’m experiencing new things!

I’ve been blogging for about five years and went full time nearly two years ago! I can’t believe that it’s been that long. I studied journalism and photography in college and started my blog my senior year. It was actually a fashion blog to begin with, but it ended up evolving into a travel blog when I moved to Italy after college.

We love your bright, bold aesthetic and how it echoes the name of your blog, Travel Colorfully. How did you get into photography and blogging?

Thank you! I’m just drawn to really bright and colorful things. I feel like when Instagram first started getting popular, a lot of feeds featured minimalist themes and muted images. I wanted to do something bold. So when I decided that I could really blog for a career, I decided to rebrand. I chose the name Travel Colorfully to reflect that you can be bold when you’re adventuring. That could literally mean finding all of the bright, vibrant things in the world, or even experiencing life as a local in a city you’re visiting.

You've visited so many gorgeous places all over the world! How do you decide where to travel to next?

When I first started traveling I was looking for opportunities where I could work abroad. I ended up in Florence, Italy for a year because I worked at a travel company there. I traveled to Thailand and lived there to teach English. On the weekends I would travel all around, exploring new places.

Now that I’m in London, my personal trips are focused on Europe, but I also get invited on some really cool press trips that bring me all over the world!

If you had to pick your favorite place in the world, where would it be and why?

That’s the hardest question in the entire world!! I would say my top three favorite places are Florence, Cambodia, and maybe Copenhagen. Florence will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s the city where I fell in love with traveling. Cambodia was a country filled with so much terrible history yet the people there were some of the friendliest I have ever met. And I recently traveled to Copenhagen and had nothing planned and I really enjoyed just wandering around the colorful streets and eating the delicious food!

Do you have any favorite travel tips you can share with us?

If you want to go somewhere, just go! Seriously, don’t wait around for someone else to go with you, don’t keep putting it off for a “better time.” The time is now. Just go. You’ll love it.

Any fun facts we should know about you?!

My favorite drink is a whiskey ginger and it was also the name of my blog before it was called Travel Colorfully!

How would you describe your personal style? Is your style influenced by your travels and always being on the go?

My personal style has evolved a ton. I lived in Florida before moving to London and I was all about cut offs and flip flops. Now that I’m back in a big city, I find myself living in jeans and comfy sweaters. I like to be comfortable but put together. I’m not a flowy dress kind of girl and I never have been!

My style is definitely influenced by my travels. I love to pick up pieces (especially jewelry) from the places I’ve traveled to. And constantly being on the go has taught me to purchase staples rather than super trendy pieces.

What’s coming up next for you that you're most excited about?

I’m actually just really excited to finally feel settled in London. I moved over here because I wanted to put myself in a situation that was out of my comfort zone. I absolutely hated living here when I first moved over, but now I have a really great group of friends, I’ve just moved into a big house with my friends, and I’m getting a lot of really great work opportunities over here (after all, London is an excellent place to be based).
