Tell us about your blog.

My blog Jyo Shankar is a creative outlet to share my love for fashion, travel, beauty and lifestyle. I am a sucker for cute outfits, warm beaches and all things tropical. I live my life one outfit at a time and aspire to travel the world one beach at a time!

What do you love most about traveling?

I love getting to experience different adventures, cultures and meeting different people while travelling.

The photos you create are so stunning! How do you come up with the inspiration for your photos?

Thank you! For travel photos I always try and do some research on the vacation spots we will be hitting, so that we can plan for the best time to take photos, which can depend from place to place. I also love planning my outfits in advance for the most part. Aside from pre-planning, it helps that I am super comfortable in front of my husband as a photographer, so we just have fun in the moment and capture our fave travel moments. The same goes for style content too!

What are your favorite things about working together with your husband?

My husband has another full time job, but I am so grateful to have his incredible support with my job as well. We love working together from creating content to brainstorming ideas to adventuring. The biggest advantage I think of working together is the opportunity to spend time together doing what we love!

Any travel essentials you can't leave home without?

I’m always traveling to a warm destination for the most part, so my essentials are a bikini, denim shorts, a floppy hat and of course all our camera gear!

What is one of your best travel moments to date?

I have several to choose from! Visiting the Maldives (which was no 1 on my bucket list ), Riding a horse on the beach in Anguilla and feeding the flamingoes in Aruba are some recent fave travel memories ( I wore my Criscara bodychain here too!)
