Holiday Cocktail Series: Make it a Margarita Stack
December 02, 2015
Everyone loves a good margarita. We're going with a classic lime margarita for our make it a margarita stack - the perfect blend of sweet and sour. Plus it's green, so we think that should count towards your daily vegetable intake. ;)
The Jewels:
Chrysolite Bronze Bardot Cuff + Emerald Bronze Bardot Cuff + Kai Bronze Cuff
The Cocktail:
Ingredients
- 4 ounces Tequila (our personal favorite is Tezon)
- 1.5 ounces Triple Sec
- 2 ounces fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 3 ounces Simple Syrup (or Limeaid is a great alternative)
- 1 cup Ice
- Coarse sugar for the rim of the glass
- Lime slices for garnish
Directions
Frozen:
- In a blender, add ice plus tequila, triple sec, lime juice and limeaid
- Blend until ice is fully crushed and drink is well mixed (use the margarita setting, or equivalent, if your blender has it)
- Serve in a sugar-rimmed glass
- Add lime slices for garnish
On the Rocks:
- Fill a drink shaker with ice
- Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice and limeaid
- Shake vigorously, and strain into a sugar-rimmed glass
- Add lime slices for garnish
Creating the Sugar-Rimmed Glass:
- Pour the coarse sugar (or salt if that's more your style) into a small dish just wider than the rim of the glass
- Using a lime wedge, wet the lip of the glass on the inside and outside, then dip the rim of the glass in the sugar
Enjoy!
